Hello All Curriculum Classmates!

Hi my name is Mike Menditto and I am a graduate student in the Educational Leadership Program at Montclair State University. I am currently a teacher and coach at Emerson Jr. Sr. High School in Bergen County. I am from Emerson, NJ and have the pleasure of teaching where I went to High School myself. Other than teaching, I enjoy sports, fitness, food, movies, and socializing with friends. My family is the most important aspect of my life. I have a wonderful mother and father, along with my older brother Rob and younger sister Stephanie. My sister lives in South Jersey and my brother lives in Texas.
My ultimate career goal is to someday be a Superintendent of a school district. I will of course look forward to climbing the leadership ladder starting as a Supervisor or Vice Principal. I am taking this course as a requirement to finish my master's degree and graduate in the spring '09 semester. This course seems very interesting as well as fun. I am looking forward to working with all of you throughout this course.

Mike-

In the coming years, superintendents will be in high demand, as less an less people want to go for those jobs. Obviously, the position requires knowledge in lots of areas and an ability to think as both a teacher, manager, and educational leader. Good luck in your pursuits and welcome to the class.

I completely admire your goal to be a superintendent -- we just got a new one in our district, and the scrutiny is unbelieveable. I want to say, 'just let the man do his job:)' Good Luck!

Mike, I admire your aspiration to become a superintendent. I sometimes think that is something I would like to do someday also, but it sometimes seems like a very difficult job. I wish you the best of luck.

This might sound bad, especially since I'm in the Ed Leadership program...but why do you want to become a superintendent??? It sounds like a VERY time consuming job with all of the different responsibilities.

Hi Mike! I look forward to the day you become a superintendent so you can hire me as a science curriculum director! Also, your cousin is in my 6th period class! He's adorable!

I want to join with others in wishing you the best of luck in your goal of becoming a superintendent.
And I used to be a neighbor of yours and Maria's: I grew up in Westwood. My parents still live there.

Hey Mike,

I coach too! What sports do you coach? I understand how much time it takes to juggle practice schedules, school work, and grad classes. It is a lot!
