This project was fun to do. I could see myself doing this again in the future.
I thought it was going to be much more difficult, but as a result of the process, I learned how to upload a video. I think this would be a great teaching tool and excellent project for my students.

My video was working before when I did it at my school. Please stand by while I am experiencing technical difficulties. I should have it running again tomorrow morning! Sorry
Video seems to be working now. It took too long to upload directly to blog spot, so I uploaded it to my school's server. The direct link is http://www.emerson.k12.nj.us/staff/mdmenditto/custom/mystuff/21stcent.mpg
Mike,
I couldn't access the video from my school, but it probably has more to do with my server than yours. I'll try to check it later. I agree that the project was easier than I thought it would be. I have to admit I was worried when I read that we'd be making a movie. It would be a good tool to use with your students.
Mike,
I was able to view your video. Great job! It was very informative. Also, I liked your comment about the increase in the number of students who have wireless internet on their handheld devices. This is so true for our school. When I collected cell phones during the PSATs, most of them were Blackberrys or IPODs. Both of these devices are capable of accessing the internet.

We're currently going through the process of converting to learning communities in our district. The veteran teachers in our building are have a very difficult time going with the "flow!" They seem to be set in their ways. Change must occur in order for the communities to be successful.
